Overview
Provides tactical direction and leadership to staff to ensure customer requirements are met while meeting UF Health Shands Hospital and Supply Chain Services goals and objectives. Maintain a professional approach while supporting customer needs enabling achievement of all Supply Chain Logistics responsibilities. Responsible for the distribution of supplies required for patient care to all UF Health Shands Hospital customers as determined by supply chain and clinical leadership.
Supervises and audits inventory control activities. Maintains adequate critical inventory levels in CDC and clinical unit par level locations. Provides supervisory support for the customer service area. Evaluates existing inventory practices, resolves problems and offers new opportunities to supply chain leadership. Communicates with supply chain leadership, nursing and all other clinical units related to providing patient care to ensure operational standards are maintained.
Maintains The Joint Commission (TJC) standards in CDC and clinical par level locations managed by supply chain. Ensures the functionality of the Point of Use system is supported and par levels updated as necessary. Maintains a competent level of support staff and provides adequate training. Sets and monitors quality standards necessary for Q.A. reporting. Responsible for implementation and daily maintenance of supply logistics including evaluation of storage space, receipt of goods and equipment, warehousing and inventory management in a variety of hospital settings.
Minimum
Education and Experience Requirements:
3 years related logistics and supply chain experience required.
- Hospital logistics and supply chain experience preferred.
- At least 5 years managerial or supervisory experience required. Associates/bachelor's degree preferred in business or related field. Must have knowledge of inventory management and point of use inventory systems. Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint required. Strong written and oral communication and organization skills required.
