This Operations Manager oversees the CTSI CRV Department's vehicle operations, managing a fleet of more than twelve units across campus across three organizations. These include the Mobile Outreach Clinic, CTSI CRV Fleet Vehicles, and the UF Health Cancer Center Institute Cancer Connector bus.
Key responsibilities include asset management, space coordination, and direct supervision of motor vehicle operators. This role supports research grants and community engagement programs. The manager coordinates and travels to all community engagement events involving the mobile fleet, ensuring safe and efficient operations for each trip.
About This Role Facilities, Infrastructure, and Vehicle Management- Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure Clinical Research Vehicle (CRV), infrastructure, vehicles, and grounds are in good working order, well kept, and safe.
- Ensure mobile fleet vehicles follow EH&S and IACUC regulations. Manage projects related to facilities and infrastructure.
- Regularly communicate with impacted stakeholders. Maintain detailed records of repairs, work orders, maintenance contracts related to facilities and infrastructure.
- Generate reports as needed and provide recommendations on repair, replacement, and budgets for areas of oversight.
- Manage vehicles utilized by Clinical Research Core.
- Ensure vehicles are inspected regularly, properly maintained, and fueled to ensure minimal interruption of service for SA hospital operations.
- Provide feedback to CTSI leadership for strategic planning and support related to facilities and infrastructure.
- Implement infection control protocols and policies as provided by the Infection Control Committee.
- Manage, schedule, and coordinate drivers and driver schedules.
- Strictly observe Florida State traffic laws.
- Drive the CRV to and from the assigned event/clinic site.
- Park and set up vehicle at designated location.
- Manage on-site preparation of the CRV prior to clinic or promotional events.
- Strictly observe patient confidentiality law and regulations.
- Manage intake requests and submit through system for service requests.
- Coordinate all CRV and fleet scheduling with the appropriate PI and program personnel.
- Coordinate with CTSI Administration and Fiscal staff regarding cost-of-service requests and logistics around any travel within the state of Florida including overnight stays.
- Manage the purchasing of supplies and equipment within budgetary guidelines.
- Collaborate with leadership on budget recommendations related to facilities and infrastructure.
- Approve invoices for responsible purchases and billing related to facilities and infrastructure.
- Allocate budget items to appropriate chart fields.
- Coordinate activities related to WEBCAMP and CRV inventory to assure that the unit is in or out of service for maintenance, events, etc.
- Create and manage inventory for the CRV including ensuring that the unit is adequately stocked for upcoming events.
Expected Salary: $63,000-$67,000
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in an appropriate area and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Class B, Classified Driver License (CDL) appropriate to the type of vehicle operated required.
