Position Overview

The Community Manager serves as the on‑site business and operational leader for an assigned Core Spaces community. This role is responsible for driving property performance through effective leadership, financial accountability, operational execution, leasing performance, resident experience, and team development. The Community Manager oversees all aspects of community operations and exercises independent judgment in balancing resident needs, operational priorities, financial objectives, staffing resources, and business goals.

Success requires strong leadership, accountability, decision‑making, and the ability to drive results while maintaining an exceptional resident experience.

The Community Manager partners closely with residents, parents, university stakeholders, vendors, maintenance teams, and corporate partners to ensure the community operates efficiently, achieves performance goals, and delivers a best‑in‑class living experience.

What You Will Do Leadership and Team Management
  • Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing on‑site team across leasing, operations, resident experience, and maintenance.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable to operational, leasing, customer‑service, and business objectives.
  • Conduct regular coaching conversations, performance evaluations, development planning, and ongoing feedback discussions.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and People Operations on hiring, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and staffing initiatives.
  • Create a culture of accountability, ownership, teamwork, continuous improvement, and resident‑focused service.
  • Identify development opportunities for team members and support career growth through coaching and mentorship.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels, scheduling coverage, and resource allocation to support business needs and resident expectations.
