The Role at a Glance
The Continuous Improvement Specialist will be responsible for directing process improvement activities to ensure that the overall business objectives are achieved. Provide support, guidance, and action to drive lean behaviors targeting elimination of waste and variation from our manufacturing and business processes that result in cost savings.

- Work closely with the CI leadership and site leadership team to establish and implement lean manufacturing concepts.
- Will be responsible for providing coaching and mentoring on project management skills, team facilitation, project execution to deliver project cost savings.
- Work with area managers/supervisors regarding process improvement opportunities within their organizations.
- Develop and maintain business performance measures and conduct analysis of data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop & deliver presentations and basic training courses associated with process improvement.
- Ensure operational activities adhere to lean standards i.e. material flow, set-up reduction, 6S & workplace organization, communication cells, TPM, etc.
- Establish program to develop and maintain standard operating procedures for existing processes and procedures.
- Support development and usage of key manufacturing systems i.e. MES, ERP, CMMS, Production labeling software, BI reports
- Monitors and inspects project quality and ensures that project improvements are sustained via KPI measurements and dashboards.
- Share responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Bilingual communication skills required (English/Spanish).
- Four-year college degree or equivalent business experience required.
- Must possess the ability to prioritize, follow through and display the aptitude and ability to quickly develop an in-depth working knowledge of applicable company processes.
- Candidate should have strong working knowledge and experience in CI strategies and should also be able to teach these tools to others.
- Advanced skills in the use of data management tools to monitor progress toward goals.
- Must be a self-starter, detail oriented, highly motivated, and organized.
- Certified Lean Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt is preferred.
- 25% travel is required (domestically and to other plants) as is the ability to work flexible hours to manage a multi-shift operation.
- Day Shift - Flexible Schedule
- Work hours are primarily during the day, with flexibility in start and end times based on business needs.
- Shifts may extend up to 10–12 hours depending on project demands, deadlines, or organizational priorities.
- Daily schedules may vary due to meetings, process improvement initiatives, data analysis needs, or cross-functional collaboration.
