Position Summary
A CNC Operator, or CNC Machine Operator, is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of manufacturing machinery. Their duties include running tests before the start of operations. The Operator will load, unload, and inspect parts during the machining process. The Operator will also be responsible for the quality of the parts being produced and for achieving production standards. This position requires de-burring, polishing, and cleaning parts at the machine on some work.

- Operates CNC machines with routine supervision.
- Performs basic math calculations, including addition and subtraction of decimals.
- Maintains dimensional tolerances between ±.0003”-.005” or greater.
- Interprets basic dimensions on a print.
- Utilizes precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, etc.
- Loads, unloads, and inspects parts being machined while maintaining published PPH.
- Operates a minimum of 1 bar feed lathe, or a Mill along with performing secondary operations.
- Maintains accurate part counts, fills out Box Tags, and Job/Quantity Tracker.
- Reports and asks supervisor/lead for assistance with any machining problems.
- Follows documented operator procedures such as inspection check sheets and posted operator notes.
- Maintains a clean work area and observes all safety procedures.
- Can execute machine offsets and insert changes with direction of supervisor or lead-person.
- Produces parts with less than 2% scrap rate on a consistent basis.
- Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
- Practices safe work habits, maintains clean working environment, and performs routine preventative maintenance and other duties as directed.

- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
1st Shift: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 4:15 PM – 2:45 AM | $3 shift differential
Weekend Day Shift: Friday–Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM | $5 shift differential
Weekend Night Shift: Friday–Sunday, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM | $6 shift differential
- HS graduate or equivalent.
- No experience required. 1+ yrs. prior experience preferred working with controls and instrumentation, equipment maintenance.
