Job Summary:

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Gainesville manufacturing facility, including production, warehouse, shipping/receiving, and maintenance activities. This position provides day-to-day leadership for site operations and ensures the facility operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards. The Operations Supervisor serves as the onsite operational leader when the Plant Manager is unavailable or not onsite.

The ideal candidate is a strong floor leader who can effectively manage people, drive accountability, coordinate cross-functional activities, and maintain a culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:

· Provide day-to-day leadership and direction for production, warehouse (shipping/receiving) and maintenance operations.

· Ensure all operations are conducted safely and in compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

· Serve as the senior onsite operational leader when the Plant Manager is unavailable or not onsite.

· Coordinate daily production activities to achieve safety, quality, service, and productivity objectives.

· Monitor operational performance and drive improvements in efficiency, equipment reliability, throughput, and overall plant performance.

· Lead, coach, and develop employees while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

· Conduct daily operational reviews and communicate priorities, performance expectations, and business objectives to the team.

· Support employee performance management activities, including training, coaching, recognition, and corrective actions.

· Ensure customer orders are shipped accurately and on time while maintaining inventory accuracy and warehouse organization.

· Coordinate inbound raw material receipts and inventory management activities to support production requirements.

· Partner with maintenance personnel to prioritize preventive and corrective maintenance activities and minimize equipment downtime.

· Investigate operational, quality, and safety issues and implement effective corrective actions.

· Monitor and report key performance indicators including safety, production volume, schedule attainment, inventory accuracy, OEE, etc.

· Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, cost reduction, productivity, and customer service.

· Support capital projects, facility improvements, and other operational initiatives as required.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and professional manufacturing environment consistent with company standards.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Required

· 8+ years of manufacturing, warehouse, or operations experience.

· 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.

· Demonstrated experience leading hourly employees in a manufacturing environment.

· Strong understanding of production, warehouse (shipping/receiving/inventory control) and maintenance operations.

· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).

· Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support plant operations.

Preferred

· Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.

· Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.

· Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience.

· Experience in dry powder, chemical, building products, or process manufacturing environments.

· Experience managing safety programs and driving operational KPIs.
