OPS Res Ast - Digital Communications Specialist (Science & Practice)

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute social media strategies across platforms (X, Linked In, Instagram, etc.)
  • Design and maintain engaging, user-friendly websites and landing pages
  • Create visually striking graphics, infographics, and digital assets for reports, campaigns, and events
  • Translate scientific findings into accessible, audience-tailored content, including developing podcasts and media releases
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support outreach, dissemination, and knowledge translation
  • Monitor analytics and optimize content for reach and engagement

Expected Salary: $20.00 - $24.00/hr, commensurate with education/experience

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.)
  • Experience managing social media accounts and campaigns
  • Strong interactional skills to work with scientists, clinicians, and trainees to develop content
  • Strong web design skills (Word Press, Squarespace, or similar platforms)
  • Ability to synthesize and communicate scientific information clearly
  • Excellent writing, editing, and visual storytelling abilities
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design

Preferred

  • Background in science communication, public health, psychology, or related fields
  • Experience with video editing or animation
  • Knowledge of digital marketing analytics
