The University of Florida is hiring an OPS Research Assistant - Digital Communications Specialist (Science & Practice). This role involves leading the creation and management of digital content to communicate scientific research effectively, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and developing engaging social media strategies, websites, and visual materials.
Highlights- Develop and execute social media strategies across platforms including X, Linked In, and Instagram.
- Design and maintain engaging, user‑friendly websites and landing pages using Word Press, Squarespace, or similar platforms.
- Create graphics, infographics, and digital assets for reports, campaigns, and events.
- Translate scientific findings into accessible content such as podcasts and media releases.
- Collaborate with researchers, clinicians, and policy experts to support outreach and knowledge translation.
- Monitor analytics to optimize content reach and engagement.
- Proficiency required in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and graphic design tools.
- Strong writing, editing, visual storytelling, and web design skills, with familiarity in accessibility and inclusive design standards.
- Salary ranges from $20.00 to $24.00 per hour, commensurate with education and experience.
- Preferred qualifications include background in science communication, public health, psychology, video editing or animation, and digital marketing analytics.
