The Department of Recreational Sports at the University of Florida is hiring Marketing Assistants to coordinate and execute marketing efforts that promote Rec Sports events and initiatives. The role involves developing marketing materials, working with advertisers and sponsors, and collaborating with a team to enhance Rec Sports visibility and engagement.
Highlights- Coordinate and develop marketing plans including magazines, posters, social media, and promotional items.
- Collaborate with advertisers, sponsors, designers, web developers, and project managers.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients, co-workers, and associates.
- Fulfill scheduled tasks and projects within deadlines while contributing at least 10 hours weekly.
- Promote Rec Sports through presentations and maintain facilities' cleanliness and safety.
- Required skills include strong writing, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and preferably knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
- Must complete and maintain University of Florida online certifications (GET
803, OOC
101, PRV
802, ITT
102, GET
811). - Position is open to UF students eligible to work on campus with a minimum 2.0 GPA, employed part-time via OPS.
- Previous marketing experience is preferred but not required.
- Federal Work Study students are encouraged to apply.
