FWS Marketing Assistant - Department of Psychiatry Job Description
The College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry is hiring a part-time Federal Work Study (FWS) student to support their Public Relations specialist in the McKnight Brain Institute. This position is scheduled for up to 20 hours per week.
Hours are flexible based on student's schedules with availability between 8:00 am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday.
Duties will focus on marketing and communications tasks including:
- Routine website updates and maintenance
- Monitoring department media activity and archiving/documenting social media posts, website posts, and media appearances
- Working with the Public Relations Specialist to analyze marketing data and research to develop calendars and promotional strategies
- Creating videos and posts for social media and websites that align with the department and College of Medicine’s overall branding strategy
$15.00 per hour
Only students with a confirmed Federal Work Study award are eligible to apply for this position. Proof of eligibility is required for considerations.- Confident with written communication
- Critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently
- Must be in good conduct standing with the University of Florida.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
- Experience in Word Press and Canva
- Proficiency in social media platforms and algorithms
- Interest in marketing and communications
- Interest in graphic design
This position is open to all UF degree-seeking students registered at least half-time and must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA.
