Responsibilities- Create and lead Therapeutic Horticulture (TH) programming for diverse populations.
- Recruit participants for TH programs; develop protocols and collect data on selected TH participant groups.
- Write grant proposals to support TH programming.
- Volunteer Management: recruit Master Gardeners, students and other interested parties to assist in the delivery of the TH programming; create and manage online TH training program for volunteers; organize in-service training for volunteers.
- Document progress in TH participant groups; promote the UF Wilmot Botanical Gardens TH program through interviews, articles in peer-reviewed publications, and presentations at meetings and conferences.
- Greenhouse Management: manage 2,700 sqft greenhouse; purchase plants and supplies for greenhouse and TH program; train and manage work-study students and other volunteers working in the greenhouse; give TH presentations and lead tours for community groups.
$59,000 to $67,000
QualificationsRequired: Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred: Master's degree in horticulture or closely related plant science discipline.
