Create and lead Therapeutic Horticulture (TH) programming for diverse populations. Recruit participants for TH programs; develop protocols and collect data on select TH participant groups. Write grant proposals to support TH programming. Volunteer Management. Recruitment of Master Gardeners, students and other interested parties to assist in the delivery of the TH programming; create and manage online TH training program for volunteers;
organize in-service training for volunteers. Document progress in TH participant groups;
Promote the UF Wilmot Botanical Gardens TH program through interviews, articles in peer-reviewed publications, and presentations at meetings and conferences. Greenhouse Management. Manage 2,700sqft greenhouse; purchase plants and supplies for greenhouse and TH program; train and manage work-study students and other volunteers working in the greenhouse; and give TH presentations and lead tours for community groups.
Expected Salary: $59,000 to $67,000
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred:
Master's degree in horticulture or closely related plant science discipline.
