Clinical Research Nurse

• Plans and directs Clinical Research
  
  Activities:
  
  review protocols, interface with research teams, and develop appropriate source documents including MD orders and research worksheets.
• Develops clinical resources for the implementation of clinical research activities.
• Coordinates activities administered by the research program or service area and develops and implements procedures for the Clinical Research program/service area.
• Acts as liaison between medical providers and research teams and CRV staff.
• Oversees participant scheduling and visit approvals.

• Supervise research support staff engaged in executing research and clinical protocols.
• Provides instruction and direction to CRV Nurses and conducts annual performance appraisals for CRV UF staff with the Director of Operations.
• Conducts annual skills evaluations/needs assessment for all staff, addresses practice variances, monitors trends, and develops action plans.

• With the Director of Operations and CRV Coordinator, develop and maintain SOPs for the Clinical Research Vehicle.
• Conducts training and in-services for medical procedures, research procedures and protocols prior to implementation.
• Conducts continuous process improvement evaluation and maintains compliance with all regulations relating to the State of Florida Office Surgery Registration.

• Maintain compliance with research certification of all equipment.
• Responsible for budgeting and acquisition for all new equipment.
• Coordinates the maintenance of all CRV medical and clinic equipment.
• Oversees the logistics of supplies, including specialized research equipment, medical supplies, linen and perishables.

$70,000 - $75,000

• Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program with at least four years of professional nursing experience.
• Licensed as a registered nurse in accordance with Chapter 464, Florida Statutes.

• Valid FL RN license.
• ACLS certification.
• Knowledge of nursing principles, practices and techniques.
• Knowledge of basic principles and good clinical practice of clinical research.
• Experience coordinating clinical research studies.
• Skill in the use of nursing equipment and instruments.
• Ability to collect, collate, analyze and evaluate data from clinical research studies.
• Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
• Ability to work effectively and independently.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Must be available to work weekend shifts.
