Location: Gainesville, FL 32614
Start Date: December 30, 2025
Shifts Available:
- Days: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Schedule: Full-Time | Rotating Weekends
A large acute care hospital in North Central Florida is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to support a Renal/Vascular Medical-Surgical unit. This role is ideal for a compassionate and clinically confident nurse who thrives in a fast-paced inpatient environment and is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Important Notes
- Candidates must reside within a commutable distance of the facility (no more than 60 minutes)
- Must be comfortable managing a 7:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
- In-person interview required prior to offer (may include shadowing, facility tour, and leadership interview)
- Provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to adult renal and vascular medical-surgical patients
- Collect comprehensive data related to patient health status and clinical condition
- Perform ongoing nursing assessments and identify actual or potential health concerns
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
- Monitor patient responses to treatments and interventions
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Advocate for patient safety, quality outcomes, and evidence-based practice
- Educate patients and families regarding care plans and treatment goals
- Accurately document patient care and clinical findings in the electronic medical record
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required
- Active Florida RN license or approved multistate (compact) RN license
- Compact license holders must obtain Florida licensure within 60 days of relocation
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of start
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Medical-Surgical experience with renal and/or vascular patient populations
- Acute care hospital experience
- Ability to work independently while functioning as part of a collaborative team
