Minimum Requirements:

Masters degree with a major in nursing or another health‑related area. Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in accordance with Chapter 464, Florida Statutes.

As an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), this position is responsible for direct care and case management of adolescent, adult, and pediatric patients with infectious diseases and HIV, including inpatient care at UF Health. The APRN will work within established protocol/scope of practice established mutually with licensed medical professionals and participate in the clinical care of patients, including those enrolled in research trials, under general supervision of a physician.

The role includes counseling patients, providing primary and specialty care to HIV‑infected and affected patients, assessing and managing patients, prescribing medications, facilitating patient participation in health and medical care, and accurately documenting patient information in EPIC EMR. The APRN will also coordinate care in a multidisciplinary outpatient medical clinic (UF CARES), contribute to program development, and participate in research protocols including patient consent, eligibility determination, and interaction with Institutional Review Board processes.

• Licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
• Master’s degree with appropriate training as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program.
• Experience in ambulatory care setting (preferred).
• HIV experience (preferred).
• Experience with both children and adult patients (preferred).

$115,000 to $130,000 annually depending on education and experience.
