Shift

12‑hour evening to morning shift

About the Role

Neuro IMC is a 13‑bed intermediate care nursing unit that serves as a dedicated stroke nursing unit. Care is rendered to intermediate‑care neuro patients including high‑acuity ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke patients, patients receiving IV thrombolytic for acute ischemic stroke, patients requiring continuous EEG monitoring, and patients with neurological disorders such as Guillain‑Barré syndrome, myasthenia gravis, and ALS. Patients may also have hemodynamic instability requiring anti‑arrhythmic and/or vasopressor medications.

Job Summary

Capable clinician with previous specialty experience preferred is expected to expand knowledge and skills, provide effective direct care as part of the interdisciplinary team to complex patients, seek and provide feedback for improved clinical practice, assume a beginning clinical bedside leadership role, and seek mentoring. The RN participates on PNGC councils, nursing quality teams, unit council, and works with the care team to recruit and retain an excellent nursing care team.

For a new graduate RN, the focus is on developing knowledge, skills, and growth in caring for increasingly complex patients while receiving consultation from experienced clinicians.

Minimum Job Qualifications
  • Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia.
  • Associate’s Degree (ADN) or Diploma.
  • At least 1year RN experience demonstrating competence in RNI performance expectations.
Preferred Job Qualifications
  • BSN.
  • Experience beyond RNI performance expectations.
