LPN – Pediatric Home Care Job Gainesville, FL

Bright Star Care Gainesville is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide 1:1 private duty nursing to pediatric patients in their home. One patient. Consistent shifts. The kind of nursing relationship most LPNs went into this field to build. • Mon–Thurs: 6:30 PM – 11:30 PM
• Friday, Sat & Sun: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Friday, Sat & Sun: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Mon–Friday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Mon–Friday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• $28/hour starting pay — weekly direct deposit
• Paid clinical orientation before your first solo shift — trach care, G-tube, ventilator management, and seizure protocols included
• RN supervisor available by phone throughout every shift
• Consistent single-patient caseload with a backup plan when your case is interrupted

Florida Medicaid sets the reimbursement rate for pediatric private duty nursing. And because you will be with one patient per shift, your schedule and income are both predictable.

What You Will Do

• Provide 1:1 skilled nursing care to a medically complex child (trach, G-tube, seizure disorder, or vent-dependent) in the family home
• Follow physician-ordered plan of care and apply clinical judgment within LPN scope of practice
• Complete shift documentation — no carry-home charting
• Communicate with the RN supervisor and care team throughout your shift

Requirements

Must have:

• Active Florida LPN license (or compact license valid in FL)
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Valid Florida driver's license and auto insurance
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframe

Preferred — training provided if not:

• G-tube or trach/vent experience
• Pediatric nursing background
