Overview

We are seeking a perinatal nurse coordinator to facilitate patient and referring provider access to UF Health, provide a supportive, caring rapport with patients, and serve as a liaison in orchestrating care through a multidisciplinary program for the diagnosis and treatment of perinatal complications.
The position involves contact with patients and their families in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and will support the development of a comprehensive perinatal care program at UF Health.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team of physicians, allied health providers, and administrative support staff to create and implement quality metrics for patients.
- Organize and facilitate multidisciplinary case conferences and clinics, ensuring case materials are assembled, patients scheduled, and appropriate follow‑up occurs.
- Coordinate UF Health laboratory, genetic, and other relevant testing services to deliver diagnostic information to conferences and clinics.
- Collaborate with members of the patient navigator service and administrative staff to cover all patient care needs.
- Participate in community outreach and education regarding perinatal care.
- Serve as a liaison between internal and referring physicians, the care team, and patients, ensuring emotional and support needs are addressed and that clinical and administrative information is communicated timely.
- Ensure seamless transition of patients through the care process across multiple departments of the UF Health system.
- Assist in identifying and recruiting eligible patients for clinical trials and programs aimed at reducing health care disparities and improving outcomes.
- RN license with a BSN preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience with outpatient women’s health, labor and delivery, or obstetric nursing.
- Experience in women’s health patient experience and clinical management preferred.
- Current RN license in the State of Florida.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Motor Vehicle Operator designation: eligible to operate a vehicle for business purposes as a non‑frequent driver.
