Job Summary And QualificationsThe CNC works closely with the management team to direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures. The CNC serves as a resource for staff, models the organization’s vision, mission, and values, and supports an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that enhance overall departmental performance.
What you will do in this role:- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high‑quality, patient‑centered care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Collaborate with subject‑matter experts and other managers to promote teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient‑first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support the facility’s engagement efforts by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff, and implement appropriate courses of action, including training, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient‑care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NIVC) obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse (RN); RN Diploma or equivalent.
- No travel required.
- At least 1 year of experience.
