JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an Endoscopy RN to join our healthcare team. Your primary function is to assist credentialed physicians in the performance of endoscopic procedures to diagnose, care, and treat patients. You will work with a team that cares like family and collaborates in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate knowledge and application of the nursing process in the peri‑operative setting.
- Prepare and equip endoscopy suites for indicated procedures.
- Follow established protocol for scheduling patients in the OR module for each procedure.
- Educate patients regarding the procedure, provide comfort and support, and prepare the patient for the indicated procedure.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to follow moderate sedation policy and procedure.
- Know medications used during procedures and monitor patient status.
- Identify potential and actual complications related to endoscopic procedures.
- Evaluate and document patient response: monitor and recognize changes in physiological and psychological status.
- Support, maintain, and provide an environment that is supportive of quality patient care through effective use of resources and personnel.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
- BLS‑AHA Provider issued card required within 30 days of start.
- ACLS‑American Heart Association Provider issued card required.
- Acute care experience required.
- Previous endoscopy experience preferred.
- CGRN preferred.
