Registered Nurse – Pulmonary (Full‑Time) Job Responsibilities

Registered Nurse candidates for the Pulmonary department will have the following responsibilities:

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation
• Advocate for patients as part of the interdisciplinary team
• Analyze assessment data to determine the diagnosis or issues
• Identify expected outcomes for an individualized plan for the patient and situation
• Act as an advocate for patient safety
• Ensure effective use of time, supplies, and equipment
• Educate patients regarding medications, procedures, and treatments, and provide support throughout their stay

Registered Nurse candidates for the Pulmonary department must meet the following minimum qualifications:

• 1 year of recent (within the last 2 years) acute care RN experience required
• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
• Nursing diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.
• BLS (AHA healthcare provider) required prior to start
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
