Overview
This position will be dedicated to providing service and care for allergy clinic patients, including giving allergy shots and performing skin testing. The Licensed Practical Nurse will also focus on providing high level patient-centered care in a physician office setting by measuring and recording vital signs, placing patients in exam rooms, preparing patients for exams/procedures, assisting the health care provider with exams/procedures, providing patient support during exams, maintaining medical supply inventory, stocking exam rooms, and administering medications.
The LPN will process patient phone calls, instruct patients regarding health care and treatments, and provide information to the provider. The LPN may be required to float to other UFHP practices as needed for staffing.
- Perform allergy shots and skin testing;
- Measure and record vital signs;
- Assist providers during exams and procedures;
- Maintain medical supply inventory;
- Administer medications;
- Process patient phone calls and provide patient support;
- Float to other UFHP practices as needed.
- Licensed LPN eligible to practice in the State of Florida.
- One year of ambulatory care or hospital experience preferred.
- Ability to multitask and demonstrate initiative.
- Outstanding patient/customer service skills, verbal clarity, team focus, and problem-solving skills.
- Current AHA or Red Cross Basic Life Support (CPR) certification, or obtain within first 90 days; maintain current BLS CPR.
- Successfully complete medication test within 30 days of hire.
Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose.
