Job Summary

Registered Nurse (RN) ICU in Gainesville, Florida. The RN delivers quality patient care by following nursing care plans, supervising LPNs, CNAs, and orientees, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting patient safety. Candidates must bring an active RN license on the first day.

• Perform nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission to establish individualized care plans.
• Initiate discharge planning from admission and provide patient/family teaching for discharge.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel and appropriate delegation.
• Maintain personal and environmental safety per hospital and nursing policies.
• Assume charge responsibility after orientation as requested.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and utilize the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate) to support care delivery and quality outcomes.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record.

• Current RN license (required on first day).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to first shift.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required prior to first shift for the specified context (CIRH only).
• Minimum two years of bedside clinical experience, with preference for one year of ICU experience.
