Seeking skilled Registered Nurses for an Inpatient Surgical Unit in Gainesville, Florida
. This fast-paced post-surgical environment cares for patients recovering from abdominal and general surgeries requiring overnight or extended hospital stays. Ideal for compassionate nurses looking to expand their clinical experience in surgical recovery, wound care, and patient education within a supportive, team-oriented hospital setting.
Provide comprehensive post-operative nursing care for abdominal and general surgery patients.
Monitor patient recovery, administer medications, and perform wound assessments and dressing changes.
Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and post-surgical care.
Manage up to 7 patients per shift with accuracy, organization, and efficiency.
Collaborate with physicians, surgical teams, and support staff to ensure optimal outcomes.
Document all assessments, interventions, and patient progress in accordance with hospital policy.
Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
Maintain professionalism and accountability in all interactions.
QualificationsRequired:
Minimum 1 year of RN experience (acute care, home health, LTAC, skilled nursing, outpatient rehab, or corrections accepted).
Active Florida RN license or Compact RN license (must obtain Florida license within 60 days of relocation).
Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN).
BLS certification (AHA) prior to start.
NIH Stroke Scale certification within 30 days of employment.
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Base Pay: $30.69 to $43.20/hr (based on years of experience)

Night Differential: +$4.25/hr
Sign-On Bonus:
Up to $15,000 (Days) / $25,000 (Nights)
