Position: Registered Nurse RN - Invasive Neurology - FT days

Overview

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care during four 10‑hour shifts plus on-call coverage. The role requires a capable clinician with previous specialty experience preferred, or a new graduate focused on developing skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and safe patient care based on the nursing process, coordinating care for assigned patients on each shift.
  • Lead interdisciplinary rounds to facilitate appropriate care and smooth transitions across the continuum.
  • Act as a highly engaged partner on the care team, responding willingly to team member needs for assistance.
  • Diligently apply the nursing process within the organization’s professional model of care, addressing clinical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs.
  • Effectively delegate care while retaining accountability for patient outcomes.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with all members of the healthcare team, including physicians and advanced practice providers.
  • Utilize evidence‑based practice and safety behaviors to prevent errors.
  • Apply Sister Simone Roach’s 7 Cs of Caring—Compassion, Competence, Confidence, Conscience, Commitment, Comportment, Creativity—in daily work.
  • Seek formal and informal opportunities to improve clinical practice within the specialty area.
  • Identify and pursue quality‑improvement opportunities, applying evidence‑based practice.
  • Demonstrate understanding of cultural intelligence, diversity, equity, inclusion, and health‑related ethics.
  • Support unit‑based shared governance and self‑care activities, modeling safe work hours and stewardship.
  • Achieve and maintain de‑escalation training certification as required for the unit.
Qualifications
  • Lives to practice as an RN in Georgia.
  • Associate’s Degree, ADN, or Diploma in nursing.
  • Minimum of 1 year RN experience, with proven competence in RN I performance expectations (or meets experience requirements upon hire).
  • Preferred: BSN degree.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, leadership, and teamwork skills.
  • Basic computer skills for unit systems.
Physical Demands
  • Lift up to 100 lbs, occasionally 0‑30% of time.
  • Carry up to 50 lbs, occasionally 0‑30% of time.
  • Vision moderate and frequent visual tasks.
  • Kneeling, stooping, bending, standing, walking, pushing, pulling frequently (31‑65% of time).
  • Intensity of work frequently (31‑65% of time).
  • Perform reading, writing, reasoning, talking, keyboarding.
