Your Specific Responsibilities- Knowledge of professional nursing and public health principles, practices, and techniques in specialized areas
- Knowledge of preventive health care theories and concepts
- Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Knowledge of use of medical equipment (glucometer, blood pressure devices, thermometer, scale, etc.)
- Knowledge and application of infection control practices
- Knowledge of immunization practices and schedules
- Skilled in applying nursing theory in specialized areas
- Skilled in nursing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Skilled in phlebotomy and venipuncture
- Proficient in computer software (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to plan, organize, prioritize workload, and coordinate assignments
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, verbally and in writing
- Ability to educate health topics to diverse populations
- Ability to multi-task in busy environments
- Commitment to accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to procedures and policies
- Respect for diversity
- Maintain confidentiality of participant and agency information
- BLS/AED Certification
- Valid Driver’s License
- Preferred:
Experience with child and adult immunizations and schedules - Experience with FL Shots online immunization information system
