RN Pulmonary

A Registered Nurse is needed for a Pulmonary unit in Gainesville, FL. The hospital is a 523-bed, full-service medical and surgical acute care center certified as a Comprehensive Stroke Center, accredited by the Joint Commission, and recognized as an Accredited Chest Pain Center by the American College of Cardiology, with Blue Distinction Center designations for Spine Surgery and Bariatric Surgery.

Working within a collaborative, patient-centered care model, the RN on this unit is responsible for collecting comprehensive patient assessment data, analyzing findings to determine diagnoses or clinical issues, and developing individualized care plans with clearly defined expected outcomes. The nurse advocates for patient safety as an active member of the interdisciplinary team and educates patients and their families about medications, procedures, and treatments throughout their stay.

Effective and conscientious use of time, supplies, and equipment is a consistent expectation of this position.

• 1 year of recent (within the last 2 years) Acute Care RN Experience Required
• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred
• BLS, (AHA Healthcare provider) required prior to start
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM; no on-call required.

$29.73 - $43.20/hr plus $10,000 sign-on bonus
