Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients with pulmonary and complex medical conditions.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and create individualized care plans.
- Administer prescribed medications, therapies, and treatments.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and discharge plans.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure compliance with hospital standards.
- Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity at all times.
- Manage a 7:1 nurse-to-patient ratio while maintaining quality care standards.
Required:
- Active Florida RN license or approved multistate compact license (must obtain Florida license within 60 days of relocation).
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred).
- Current BLS certification (AHA Healthcare Provider).
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience acute care not required. Acceptable experience includes LTAC, skilled nursing, outpatient rehab, home health, or corrections.
- Must live within a commutable distance (within 60 minutes) of the facility.
- Must complete an in-person interview, including shadowing and facility tour, before offer consideration.
Preferred:
- NIH Stroke Scale certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
- Experience in pulmonary, respiratory, or medical-surgical nursing.
- Strong assessment, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills.
- Pay Range: $30.69 to $43.20/hr (based on experience)
- Shift Differentials: $4.25/hr (Nights) | $3/hr (Weekends)
- Sign-On Bonus: $25,000 (Nights) | $15,000 (Days)
- Relocation Assistance: $2,500 to $5,000 (for candidates relocating 100+ miles)
- No On-Call Requirements
