Environmental Applicator / Crew Supervisor – Broward County Aquatic Vegetation Control, Inc.

Pembroke Pines, Florida Full-time | Starting at $18.00 per hour, based on experience

Join the Team That Helps Protect South Florida's Natural Resources Aquatic Vegetation Control, Inc. (AVC) is hiring Environmental Applicators and Crew Supervisors to support aquatic vegetation management and environmental restoration projects throughout Broward County and surrounding areas.

No aquatic vegetation management experience is required. We provide paid training and will help qualified employees obtain their Florida pesticide applicator license.

Position Opportunities Environmental Applicator Environmental Applicators work independently to manage invasive vegetation while helping protect South Florida's lakes, canals, wetlands, and waterways.

Responsibilities include:

Apply herbicides safely and responsibly to control invasive vegetation

Work independently while managing assigned routes and daily responsibilities

Operate company trucks, boats, trailers, and specialized application equipment

Inspect and maintain assigned equipment

Complete daily application records and reports

Follow environmental regulations and company safety procedures

Crew Supervisor Crew Supervisors lead and work alongside field crews performing aquatic vegetation management and environmental restoration projects.

Responsibilities include:

Lead daily field operations and coordinate work assignments

Promote a safe, productive work environment

Work alongside crew members throughout the day Ensure quality standards are met Complete daily reports and communicate with Project Managers Help develop and mentor crew members

What We're Looking For Dependable, safety-minded individuals

Comfortable working outdoors in Florida's heat, humidity, and changing weather conditions

Valid Florida driver's license with a good driving record

Willingness to obtain an FDACS pesticide applicator license within six months (training provided)
Ability to pass a background check
