Postdoctoral Associate in Polymer Science. Two positions available under Prof. Austin M. Evans. One-year renewable appointment. Focus on macromolecular synthesis and polymer properties. Expected salary $50,000.
ResponsibilitiesConduct research in synthesizing and characterizing polymeric materials. Mentor graduate students. Publish in peer-reviewed journals. Assist in constructing funding applications.
Qualifications- Ph.D. in Chemistry
- Experience in molecular and material characterization, including NMR, IR, mass spectrometry, SC-XRD, PXRD, TGA, TEM, and/or SEM
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to take initiatives, set priorities, time-manage, and resolve problems
- Strong background in chemical synthesis and polymerization methodologies
