Overview

The Bai lab is seeking a highly motivated and creative postdoctoral fellow to join our research group. The candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to projects centered around modeling human diseases in the nematode model Caenorhabditis elegans. Our current research focuses on disease genes associated with lipid droplets, lipid metabolism, development, germline development, and mechanotransduction.

• Join the Bai lab as a postdoctoral fellow and contribute to research projects focused on modeling human diseases in

• Design and conduct experiments to investigate disease genes related to lipid metabolism, development, germline development, and mechanotransduction.

• Required:
  
  Ph.D. or equivalent degree in genetics, cell biology, developmental biology, bioinformatics, or a related field.
• A strong publication record demonstrating research productivity and the ability to independently design and conduct experiments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate findings and collaborate with colleagues.
• Desirable:
  Proficiency in genetics, live imaging, imaging analysis, molecular biology techniques, and experience with CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing. Prior experience with
  
  C. elegans is favorable.

• This position will be initially awarded for one year and may be renewed for up to three years contingent upon strong performance, conduct, and availability of funds.
