A Post-doctoral Associate in Analytical Chemistry is available to work on mass spectrometry research led by Prof. Boone Prentice in the Department of Chemistry. The role involves novel gas‑phase ion chemistry, tissue expansion protocols, mass spectrometry instrumentation, imaging mass spectrometry method development, image and data processing, and biomedical applications. The associate will develop cutting‑edge bioanalytical mass spectrometry technologies to enable unique insight into molecular pathology.
The position is initially for one year and may be renewed for up to two years based on performance and funding.
The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, and the compensation includes a full benefits package.
Required QualificationsPh.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field.
Preferred- Experience with mass spectrometry, including imaging mass spectrometry
- Self‑motivated with strong time management and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Enthusiasm for working on multidisciplinary projects
