Job Description
Research Coordinator II at the University of Florida. The role works closely with the Quality Improvement and Implementation Science Director and Team Lead to apply implementation science and quality improvement methods to evaluate health plan performance and support production of external quality review reports. The coordinator reviews health plan materials, conducts qualitative assessments, analyzes quality improvement initiatives, assists with the development of tables and figures for reports, and ensures adherence to reporting requirements while contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and assess the quality of health plan performance improvement efforts, reviewing plans’ quality initiatives, documentation, and narratives to determine and score validity, effectiveness, and compliance with quality standards and benchmarks.
- Conduct qualitative analysis of written materials and supporting evidence.
- Collaborate with team members to understand reporting needs and support the development of clear, well‑structured reports.
- Apply advanced skills in Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, and present data, and use Microsoft Word to design, format, and refine narrative content.
- Create tables, charts, and other visuals to effectively communicate findings.
- Review, edit, and format report materials for accuracy and consistency, while contributing to continuous improvement of reporting processes.
- Collaborate on quality improvement initiatives to develop and implement strategies that enhance the accuracy and effectiveness of evaluation processes.
- Conduct targeted literature reviews to support evaluation activities, using online databases, library resources, and policy documents.
- Summarize and synthesize findings to support evaluation and reporting.
- Maintain ongoing knowledge of topics pertinent to assigned responsibilities, including Medicaid managed care, health quality measures, quality improvement, and implementation science.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and general computer applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast‑paced, data‑driven environment.
- A Master of Public Health or related field.
- Experience conducting literature reviews and synthesizing research findings.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and general computer applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast‑paced, data‑driven environment.
Salary: $50,000 - $62,000
