A full‑time OPS Lab Technician is available in the Gene Expression and Genotyping of the Interdisciplinary Center for Biotechnology Research (IC ). Duties include DNA and RNA quantification using Nanodrop, Qubit, and qualification using Agilent Bioanalyzer/Tape Station, qPCR, digital PCR, DNA and RNA extraction, and Gene Titan Axiom Array process. The assistant is also responsible for receiving packages, performing periodic cleanup of freezers, maintaining a detailed list of available reagents, and other lab‐related work as needed.
We seek a reliable individual with the ability to learn new laboratory procedures rapidly, attention to detail, good communication skills, familiarity with computers, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
$18 per hour, commensurate with education and experience.
Required Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent and one year of relevant experience.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Science background and experience.
- Good computer and organization skills.
