Job DescriptionThe Department of Occupational Therapy at the University of Florida invites applications for a full‑time, 12‑month non‑tenure track Research Assistant Scientist position. The successful candidate will have a record of extramural grant funding and experience in community‑based participatory research. Primary responsibilities include all aspects of research: proposal development and submission, managing existing and new grants, expertise in qualitative research methods, scientific dissemination, development of knowledge translation activities for the lay population, scientific report writing for granting agencies, and co‑supervising graduate students.
An additional, secondary responsibility may involve participating in service activities as assigned by the department chair.
Classification
Minimum Requirements:
PhD or equivalent.
- Research doctorate in sociology, anthropology, health services research, or public health.
- Experience interfacing with children and caregivers in a research‑intensive environment.
- Professional proficiency in spoken and written Spanish.
Expected Salary:
Negotiable; commensurate with education and experience.
