The Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology is seeking a full‑time Postdoctoral Associate in the laboratory of Maurice Swanson, Ph.D. with an interest in investigating the molecular basis of neurological and/or neuromuscular disease. The role involves performing postdoctoral research focused on pathomechanisms underlying neurological and neuromuscular diseases and developing potential disease therapies. Preferred candidates should have experience using human cell and/or mouse disease models and a training record that includes neuroscience, RNA biochemistry, genomics, proteomics, or transcriptomics.

Required Qualifications: Ph.D.

Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in neuroscience, genetics, or molecular and cell biology with research experience in cell and/or mouse models for neurological disease.

$58,656 - $66,948, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
