Classification Minimum Requirements

Highly motivated individual who recently graduated with a B.S. or M.S. degree in one of the following areas or any field related to these areas:
Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, Biological/Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, and Analytical Chemistry.

Experience and Skills

Experience with handling small animals and basic animal surgery skills.

Experience in analyzing samples using HPLC.

Experience in cell culture and in vitro experiments.

Ability to work in a team‑based environment and to communicate in a multidisciplinary team.

Job Description

The candidate will work on an NIH‑funded research project focused on evaluating the pharmacokinetics of cancer therapeutics in rodent tumor models. Responsibilities include conducting animal experiments on rodents, establishing tumor models, administering nanoformulations, collecting and processing tissue samples, quantifying drug concentrations using HPLC, analyzing data, and drafting protocols and SOPs. The position is open to current UF students and external applicants.

$18‑20$/hr. For OPS employees:

Required Qualifications
  • Recent graduate or current enrollee with a B.S. or M.S. degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, Biological/Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Ph.D. degree is not required, but applicants with a Ph.D. may also apply.

Qualifications refer to evidence‑based or demonstrated knowledge, skills, abilities, and experiences required for the role. For TEAMS positions, the required qualifications should reflect Classification Minimum Requirements; for faculty roles, they may reflect college‑specific requirements needed for success in the role.

Preferred
  • Experience working with nanoparticles and nanoformulations.
  • Ph.D. degree is not required, but applicants with a Ph.D. may also apply.
