Laboratory Technician II

Job Description

• Conduct preclinical studies evaluating novel therapeutic interventions for olfactory loss using murine models of chronic sinusitis, in compliance with IACUC protocols.
• Perform flow cytometric analysis of murine and human airway tissues, including experimental design, sample preparation, data acquisition, and interpretation.
• Execute ELISA and cytometric bead array assays for biomarker quantification in clinical trial specimens.
• Manage laboratory inventory, including ordering and maintaining supplies and reagents.
• Collect and process human tissue samples from operating rooms, including cataloging, establishing primary cell cultures, and preparing specimens for downstream applications.

• Demonstrated proficiency in laboratory techniques with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a team‑oriented environment.
• Coursework or academic background in immunology or related biomedical sciences is advantageous; training will be provided given the unique assays conducted by the laboratory.
• Willingness to work occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by experimental timelines.

• Experience working with mice and/or immunological assays.

Salary: $20.00 - $23.00/hour
