Research Coordinator II

The Department of Epidemiology at the University of Florida invites applications for a full-time, in person Research Coordinator II position. The Research Coordinator II (RC II) will oversee and coordinate day-to-day operations of an NIH-funded R01 research project examining multilevel social drivers of cardiovascular health. The project includes community-engaged research activities, stakeholder engagement through a Community Advisory Panel (CAP), qualitative interviews, Delphi consensus methods, and development of public-facing implementation deliverables.

The Research Coordinator II will serve as the operational lead for study implementation under the general direction of the Principal Investigator (PI), ensuring adherence to study protocols, regulatory requirements, project timelines, and quality assurance procedures.

Responsibilities include coordinating regulatory activities and IRB submissions; managing recruitment and engagement of CAP members, stakeholders, and study participants; supervising graduate assistants and other research personnel; coordinating qualitative interviews and Delphi surveys; organizing CAP meetings and study logistics; managing participant incentives and honoraria; maintaining study documentation and regulatory files; monitoring protocol fidelity and data quality; coordinating communications among investigators, collaborators, and community partners;

and assisting with project reporting and dissemination activities. The coordinator will collaborate closely with investigators, staff, and trainees to identify operational challenges, develop efficient study procedures, and ensure successful completion of project milestones.

Expected Salary: $56,168 - $62,375 commensurate with education, skills, and experience.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Driver's License required for local travel.

Preferred:
Experience coordinating NIH-funded research studies; experience with human subjects' research and IRB submissions; experience coordinating qualitative research and/or community-engaged research; experience supervising research assistants or students; experience with REDCap and electronic data capture systems; strong organizational and project management skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience coordinating Community Advisory Boards, stakeholder engagement, or implementation research; ability to manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail;

experience with participant recruitment and retention; familiarity with Microsoft Office and project management software.

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm; occasional evenings and weekends may be required to accommodate Community Advisory Panel meetings, stakeholder engagement activities, or participant scheduling. Evening and weekend hours will substitute regular working hours, as needed. Occasional travel may be required for community engagement activities or professional meetings.
