Bachelor's degree in biology or a related field and thirteen years of experience or Master's degree in biology or a related field with eleven year of experience. Doctoral degree in biology or related field with eight years of experience.

Job Description:

The Biological Scientist IV will independently lead a project on the development of cellular
immunotherapy against DIPG in pre-clinical models. This includes design and execution of experiments as well as data analysis. Additionally, they will be responsible for general laboratory management duties, monitoring and caring for laboratory animals within the Preston

A. Wells Jr Center for Brain Tumor Therapy within the Department of Neurosurgery.

Independently design experiments. Independently perform experimental work, including: animal
surgeries, cell culture, flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, RNA seq analysis. Includes analyzing data
and reporting data. Adjust/modify experimental designs as necessary based on experimental data
analysis. This includes the maintenance of experimental animals.

Laboratory management, including: maintaining lab equipment, keeping inventory updated,
purchasing lab and office supplies, maintaining laboratory safety programs, training of personnel in
laboratory safety techniques, keep laboratory records, preparing reagents, maintaining clean work areas,
and managing chemical and biological waste. Lead and manage the laboratory in the absence of the PI.

Independently write manuscripts and grants.

Required Qualifications:

Preferred:

Experience in cell culture, flow cytometry, and animal methods. Experience in experimental design.
Experience in writing publication quality manuscripts and reviews.
