Job Description:
- Assist with project setup and maintenance for various specialty and ornamental crops
- Perform key plant maintenance tasks including but not limited to fertilization, pH and EC monitoring, potting up, weed management, pest scouting, and plant propagation.
- Aid in harvesting and processing plant material for data collection and sample analysis.
- Monitor and adjust environmental controls such as temperature, humidity, and light levels in greenhouse settings to optimize plant growth conditions.
Expected Salary:
$18.00-$20.00
Required Qualifications:
- Effective oral and written communication.
- Must be able to work in hot and humid environments.
- Ability to adhere to safety protocols and best practices when handling plants, chemicals, and equipment.
- Work well in a team setting.
Preferred:
- Associate degree or ongoing education in Biology, Horticulture, Botany, Plant Science, Agronomy, or related fields.
- Experience with greenhouse management and plant cultivation.
- Pesticide application experience.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).
This is a time-limited position.
