Job Description:The Crop Biotechnology lab at University of Florida, headed by Fredy Altpeter, is seekingan OPS Greenhouse and Field Technician who is efficient in multi-tasking and time management, work well with others, pay attention to detail, are experienced with greenhouse and/or field research, and have a desire to learn new skills. The incumbent will carry out research in management of plant growth facilities and/or field experiments.
The position requires working 40 hours per week, which includes some weekends. We are looking for an individual with exceptional performance skills, such as self-motivation, attention to detail, honesty, dependability, adaptability, and must be able to lift 50lbs.
$15-$18 per hour commensurate with experience.
Required Qualifications:Valid driver license, previous experience with greenhouse or field work with crops. Preferred:Bachelor's of Science in Plant Science or related discipline. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
