Job DescriptionThe Crop Biotechnology lab at University of Florida, headed by Fredy Altpeter, is seeking an OPS Greenhouse and Field Technician who is efficient in multi-tasking and time management, work well with others, pay attention to detail, are experienced with greenhouse and/or field research, and have a desire to learn new skills. The incumbent will carry out research in management of plant growth facilities and/or field experiments.
The position requires working 40 hours per week, which includes some weekends. We are looking for an individual with exceptional performance skills, such as self-motivation, attention to detail, honesty, dependability, adaptability, and must be able to lift 50lbs.
$15-$18 per hour commensurate with experience.
Required QualificationsValid driver license, previous experience with greenhouse or field work with crops. PreferredBachelor's of Science in Plant Science or related discipline. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
