Research and Evaluation Methodology Post-Doctoral Scholar

University of Florida is hiring a Research and Evaluation Methodology Post-Doctoral Scholar to fill two positions supporting an NSF CAREER project on longitudinal experimental and quasi-experimental study design in STEM education. Scholars will build methods and tools for analyzing longitudinal data, run Monte Carlo simulations, and present findings at conferences and in academic papers. The 12-month appointment renews annually and offers staggered start dates to match each candidate's availability.

• Fills two Postdoctoral Scholar positions supporting an NSF CAREER-funded project on longitudinal experimental and quasi-experimental study design in STEM education.
• Builds methods and tools for designing and analyzing longitudinal experimental and quasi-experimental studies.
• Conducts Monte Carlo simulations and develops R/Stata packages or R Shiny apps.
• Cleans, manages, and analyzes large-scale longitudinal data using Stata, R, or SAS.
• Presents findings at academic conferences and drafts papers for publication.
• Draws on preferred expertise in multilevel modeling, panel data analysis, difference-in-differences methods, or comparative interrupted time series design.
• Extends consideration to candidates with backgrounds in causal inference, cost-effectiveness analysis, or missing-data methods.
• Staggers start dates, with one scholar beginning as early as Fall 2024 or Spring 2025 and the other in Summer or Fall 2025.
• Needs a doctoral degree, or near completion of one, in quantitative research methods, statistics, or a closely related field.
• Expects a cover letter, current CV, three references, and a scholarly writing sample from applicants.
