Line Cook Position SummaryLine Cooks work in the heart of our organization, providing behind-the-scenes service to our residents, guests, and employees. Line Cooks prepare foods on a large-scale, commercial-type basis for our fine dining restaurant, grill, various catered events, or within our Health Pavilion Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living areas. A Line Cook assists with menu planning and preparation of food according to menus and standardized recipes.
Line Cooks observe special diet requests and orders to assure that the correct diet is being served.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must have experience preparing food on a large-scale basis
- Must be able to read and understand written instructions for preparation of recipes
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills to relate effectively to staff, residents, families, and community members
- Must be empathetic, energetic and have an affinity for working with a diverse senior population
- All applicants must complete and pass a Level II Background Check and Drug Screening
