Position: (USA) Member Specialist

Position Summary

As a Member Frontline Services Associate at Sam's Club, you will provide member service, maintain checkout and store areas, resolve member issues and concerns, promote products and services, guide members on self-service technology, and process member purchases. You will assist with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges in accordance with company policies and procedures for various membership and payment types, while following safety standards, conducting safety sweeps, handling merchandise properly, reporting unsafe situations, and maintaining entrance, exit, and overall store environments.

Responsibilities
  • Provide member service and maintain the checkout area.
  • Resolve member issues and concerns.
  • Promote Sam's Club products and services.
  • Guide and support members regarding self-service technology.
  • Process member purchases, payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges.
  • Follow company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps.
  • Follow proper procedures for handling merchandise.
  • Correct and report unsafe situations to facility management.
  • Maintain entrance areas, acknowledge members, verify membership cards, and identify member needs.
  • Assist members with purchasing decisions and locate merchandise.
  • Zoning and arranging merchandise, assisting members with transporting items, and maintaining a safe shopping environment.
  • Maintain exit areas, review member receipts, secure Sam's Club assets, and observe potential criminal activity.
  • Maintain paperwork, logs, and other required documentation.
  • Execute emergency response procedures and ensure compliance with security and safety practices.
  • Assist in training Member Frontline Services associates on company processes, procedures, new technology, and tool functionality.
  • Deliver new program rollout training and provide continuous learning and process improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure the area of responsibility is maintained per company policies by properly handling returns, zoning, and identifying shrink and damages.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, using the Open Door Policy and related action plans.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other partners; and communicating progress and recommendations.
  • Work as a team, build strong, trusting relationships, and communicate with impact, energy, and positivity.
  • Mentor and develop others, recognizing their contributions and accomplishments.
  • Act with integrity, holding oneself and others accountable and supporting Walmart's regenerative goals.

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation may include premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Retail experience, including operating front-end equipment (e.g., cash register).
