David’s Bridal is seeking a Bridal Stylist to provide a positive, friendly, empathetic, and professional sales experience for all customers. The Stylist will deliver 5-Star Customer Service, achieve sales goals, and support store operations. The role reports to the Store Manager in partnership with the Sales Manager and serves as a brand ambassador for David’s Bridal.
Essential Job Functions Customer Focus- Welcome all customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm over the phone and in person, communicating clearly and concisely while adapting style to suit customers.
- Use all systems to manage customer flow and deliver a 5-star experience (Appointments/Customers/Point of sale system). Use iPad tools to research and enthusiastically communicate this information to the customer.
- Provide exceptional service to multiple customers simultaneously and help the store achieve 5-Star Customer Service. Proactively address concerns and know when to escalte.
- Prepare for appointments by reviewing customer profiles and favorites and preparing a fitting room.
- Build relationships by welcoming customers to the store, asking questions, and listening to understand their expectations and needs.
- Strive to identify the perfect gown or dress in the customer’s first three try‑ons.
- Review the Timeline Calendar and set future appointments aligned with customer needs; follow up with customers to remind/set future sales.
- Communicate how alterations play an important role in perfecting the dress for the event. Promote all alteration services and partner with Alteration Specialists to set appointments. Assist the store in achieving a goal of 80% conversion of brides sold to Alteration appointments.
- Ensure proper measurements are taken and entered accurately to order dresses and minimize returns and exchanges.
- Maintain store‑standards (clean, organized, promotional readiness) and report broken or damaged equipment.
- Adhere to dress code standards for personal appearance.
- Offer David’s Bridal loyalty & partners program to support and promote a one‑stop service for all life events.
- Respond promptly to customer questions providing product and service information; build relationships to exceed customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Maintain hourly sales productivity standards by utilizing the 5‑Step Selling Process.
- Support cash wrap behaviors and process transactions with accuracy while promoting add‑ons and services. Maintain knowledge of special order procedures.
- Consistently achieve at least 65% platform conversion.
- Consistently achieve add‑on goals: headpiece 75%, foundations 10%, shoes 20%.
- Schedule come‑back appointments for the complete wedding party, including Bridesmaids, Mother‑of‑the‑Bride, and Flower Girl.
- Become a trusted advisor by completing training on schedule and continually building product knowledge and fashion trend expertise.
- Strive to become a Circle of Excellence member by exceeding sales targets.
- Execute new processes, behaviors, contests, and programs as assigned.
- Perform duties assigned by store management, including promotion and sign setup, merchandising and visual changes, markdowns, and inventory counts.
- Actively support the store team to achieve sales, service, and operational goals.
- Accurately clock in and out for all scheduled shifts, breaks, and meals.
- Follow all loss prevention, security processes, and policies.
- Focus on personal development and complete all training as assigned for ongoing growth.
- Celebrate team member successes and share sales expertise and product knowledge with fellow stylists.
- Be open to coaching and feedback to improve behaviors or processes, capitalizing on feedback from coaching conversations with managers.
- Complete all required my Learning courses within the first 90 days and remain current with the curriculum.
