Direct Sales Agent Specialist (Direct Auto Insurance)

Responsible for the profitable growth and attainment of business goals by driving new business sales and understanding customers’ needs to build rapport and trust. The role drives sales and builds and retains a book of business within the market/retail location, attracting new customers and cross-selling existing customers in support of product offerings including Auto, Life, Auto Club, and Roadside Assistance. The role also sells to walk-in customers, markets products through phone calls and in-person visits, and assists customers in the office.

• Drive new business sales and attain business goals.
• Successfully close sales of insurance and ancillary products.
• Meet and exceed sales goals through new product sales, cross-sell, and customer retention.
• Leverage community contacts to build a sales pipeline and maintain a physical presence to generate referrals.
• Initiate outbound calling to established target customer base for product offerings.
• Monitor key competitors in the local market area and suggest initiatives to improve company position.
• Work with Direct Sales Leadership to plan, implement, and manage marketing and sales processes.
• Deliver optimal results within metrics of quality, quantity, timeliness, productivity, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
• Understand and remain current on underwriting guidelines and policy changes.
• Receive customer payments, issue receipts, and reconcile cash drawers.

• 0–2 years of experience.
• P&C licensing (preferred) or ability to attain required licensure within 90 days of joining.

• Effective closing of sales of insurance and ancillary products.
• Ability to exceed sales goals through new product sales, cross-sell, and customer retention.
• Active outreach and community contact building for sales pipeline.
• Outbound calling to target customer base.
• Competitive market monitoring and initiative suggestion.

  Base compensation: $20.00 per hour. Total compensation may include incentive pay such as commissions and bonuses based on individual and team performance.
