Position: Commercial & Industrial Sales Executive I

Job Summary

Gas South is seeking a motivated and results-driven Commercial & Industrial Sales Executive to join our dynamic sales team. Your role will revolve around spotting and engaging potential new customers using inside sales techniques, occasionally meeting them face-to-face.

Atlanta, GA or Gainesville, FL.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Generation and Prospecting:
    • Find potential natural gas customers through research, lead databases, and referrals.
    • Initiate contact through cold calls, emails, and other methods to spark interest, qualify leads, and close sales.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to align outreach efforts with ongoing campaigns.
    • Deliver effective sales presentations via phone, in-person meetings, and online platforms to educate customers about our natural gas services.
    • Tailor presentations to match the needs and preferences of each potential client.
    • Utilize multimedia resources to enhance the impact of your presentations.
  • Relationship Building:
    • Establish solid relationships with clients, grasping their energy requirements and aligning our energy products accordingly.
    • Provide exceptional post-sale support to foster long-term customer loyalty.
  • Consultative Selling:
    • Listen actively to customers, understand their needs and tailor solutions to fit.
    • Share expert product knowledge to guide customers in making informed decisions.
    • Leverage customer feedback to fine-tune your consultative approach.
    • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas and prospecting goals.
    • Look for opportunities to upsell extended contract offerings and cross-sell to existing customers through referrals.
    • Collaborate with peers to share successful strategies for exceeding quotas.
    • Keep customer information and interactions up to date in the CRM system.
    • Use Salesforce CRM data to analyze sales trends and identify areas for improvement.
    • Help streamline CRM processes by providing feedback on usability and functionality.
    • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and partners at all levels.
    • Work with cross‑functional teams, including marketing and customer care, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
    • Share customer feedback to contribute to product and service enhancements.
    • Participate in regular team meetings to foster a culture of open communication and shared insights.
    • Conduct in‑person sales meetings around 15% of the time.
    • Travel to industry events and conferences to build face‑to‑face relationships with potential leads.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven sales experience, preferably in a related industry.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for face‑to‑face meetings.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently while supporting team goals.
  • Comfortable in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment.
Preferred Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software for lead management and sales tracking.
Physical Requirements
  • Sitting:
    Ability to sit for extended periods at a desk or workstation while performing computer‑based tasks and collaborating with colleagues.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, and copiers.
  • Keyboarding:
    Ability to enter data using a traditional keyboard and mouse.
  • Standing and Walking:
    Ability to stand and walk within the office environment.
  • Driving:
    Ability to drive to the office 2‑3 days per week.
  • Requires visual and auditory acuity for effective communication, document review, and use of office technology.
  • Lifting and Carrying:
    Ability to lift and carry material, files, or equipment weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Work in typical office conditions, including exposure to noise, artificial lighting, and climate‑controlled environments.

Compensation

Pay range: $28.84 - $32.24 USD per hour, commensurate with education, experience, specialized skills or certifications.
