Role Summary

Account Specialist responsible for promoting our client’s Biosimilar products to Immunology, Dermatology, Oncology Physician Offices, and Integrated Hospital System accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve territory sales expectations for promoted Biosimilar products.
  • Maintain company, client employee compliance policies and procedures.
  • Identify and build relationships with key decision makers and healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate and communicate frequently with client customer‑facing roles.
  • Launch new products in complex integrated health systems.
  • Develop and implement business plans aligned with client customer‑facing roles.
  • Work collaboratively with account team members in hospital and physician‑owned infusion centers.
  • Engage decision makers, shorten buying cycle and generate new orders.
  • Implement national strategies and programs.
Key Working Relationships
  • Report to Associate Director, Area Manager.
  • Collaborate frequently with client customer‑facing roles.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with health‑care customers and client contacts.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 2+ years of biopharmaceutical sales or relevant healthcare sales/services (e.g., medical device sales, infusion services, health IT, health‑system networks).
  • For customer‑facing roles, may be required to maintain credentials including vaccination status.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of specialty sales experience selling biologics in Immunology, Dermatology, Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, or Oncology.
  • Experience with specialty pharmacy products, buy‑and‑bill, and/or business‑to‑business selling models.
  • Complex account and territory management experience.
  • Experience collaborating with multiple customer‑facing roles.
  • Experience working in hospital environment, infusion centers, and specialty pharmacy.
  • In‑depth knowledge of billing codes, reimbursement, support, and medical benefits dynamics; understanding of managed‑care environment and product approval processes.
  • Knowledge of verification of benefits for patient coverage.
  • Experience with Medicare Part B preferred.
  • Knowledge of specialty pharmacy.
  • Ability to drive utilization of an infused product in a complex integrated health‑care system.

  • Strong compliance knowledge; ethical conduct.
  • Technical aptitude and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Successful completion of client training required.
  • Ability to travel as needed within territory, including overnight and/or weekend, and to work‑related meetings and functions.
  • Ability to submit and maintain required credentials such as vaccination information, trainings, and adherence to policies.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Credentialing and Licensing

Representatives may be required to submit and maintain credentials such as training, vaccinations, and other documentation to gain access to hospitals or healthcare providers. Certain geographic jurisdictions or hospital systems may require a representative license or specific certifications. License requirements may apply in District of Columbia, City of Chicago, State of Nevada, State of Oregon, and Jackson Memorial Health in Miami‑Dade County.
